This module reviews the historical development of tourism in Namibia , analyses its components and examines the importance of selling skills to promote the tourism industry. It is designed to provide course participants with an appreciation of the complexities of tourism, organisations within the industry, and relevant disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to their study.

During the online training program the focus will be on the selling skills the front -office or reception ned to aquire and the participants will learn to identify and interpret customer needs; help the employee & other staff members to perform his/her duties. The front desk staff serves as a channel of tourist information to management about customers, markets, and competition.
